Gardens: At Casa Flor de Sal there are more than 4000m2 of fragrant gardens with lavenders, rosemary, roses, estrelitzias, agapanthus, lantanas and many other flowers. There are many quiet places to read a book (electronic or otherwise), seat and have a cup of coffee, observe the wildlife, or the world going by.
We also have a small organic vegetable garden where we grow strawberries, melons, watermelons, tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers and chili. Herbs such as rosemary, basil, mint and thyme grow in several places, including the patios of the rental houses, leaving a rich aroma which you smell from time to time as their sent sails through the air. Scattered through the property are citrus trees (lemons, limes, tangerines and several qualities of oranges), olive, fig, almond, carob and pomegranate trees.
About half the property is left untended to the benefit of the wildlife and you are welcome to find a quiet spot to observe our Hoopoes or go for walks looking for chameleons. If you are lucky, you might also see a fox or a mole.
